The Florence Hearing Team Has Grown!

We’re thrilled to welcome a new team member to the practice! Audiologist, Cassandra Falvey, Au.D., have joined our team and will support the practice’s mission statement to provide a safe and welcoming clinic for all, to provide hearing health care without a focus on hearing aid sales, and to be the Pioneer Valley's community resource for hearing healthcare.

Part of our mission is also to be a great place to work, including creating employment opportunities that allow for work-life balance. Team members work between 24 - 32 hours per week based on their personal needs. To support this flexible schedule, the entire practice works as a team to ensure that any one of our providers can help a patient if their regular provider isn’t available. Dr. Falvey joins Dr. Jennifer Sowards, Audiologist and Founder, Dr. Anna Niemi, Audiologist, and Robin Verteramo, Receptionist (and the eternally cheerful voice you’re likely to encounter on the phone).

Dr. Cassandra Falvey, Audiologist, came to Florence Hearing from Baystate Health in Palmer, MA. Dr. Falvey has always been drawn to the field of communication sciences and disorders. Dr. Falvey earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders magna cum laude from The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY in May 2015. Falvey then returned home to Western Massachusetts, and earned her Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in May 2019. Dr. Falvey completed her fourth year externship at Baystate Wing Hospital and Medical Centers, where she continued to work and serve patients until joining the team here at Florence Hearing Health Care in Spring 2022. Dr. Falvey holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A) from the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association.
